A creative text Exophotography: Otherworldly Image Making featuring the first three vignettes is published in The Sustainable Darkroom's forthcoming anthology Bury After Reading (Oct 2026).
Ongoing series of photographic glass plates chemigrams made using chemical solutions informed by the composition of various exoplanets. Knowledge of exoplanetary composition is typically informed by detection techniques involving spectroscopy, a current research interest. The plates are reminiscent of the sliced polished agates from Roger Caillois collection of ‘dreamstones’, and evoke inorganic agency through the uncontrolled traces of chemical reactions.
