κόσμος – Part I  A0 display panels, photographs and diagrams mounted on card and displayed in archival sleeves, clips, pins.

A body of work that appropriates information from scientific cosmology and cosmetology to record the activities of a fictitious secret society of women who use cosmetic materials and processes to communicate with the cosmos. This pursuit draws from the etymology of the word cosmetics which  derives from the Ancient Greek κόσμος or ‘kosmos’ that means orderly arrangement in terms of both bodily adornment and the grand structure of the heavens.

Part I is a panel display that exhibited fragments of research exploring its origins and history, playfully twisting images of historical artifacts and contemporary products into a pseudo-authoritative narrative that blurred fact and fiction.
